The Problem
A mid-sized upstream Oil & Gas company had been using conventional ways to forecast their reservoir's performance for decades. Then, they started to gather enough data to use machine-learning algorithms.
Instead of buying expensive (and excessive) software from a major vendor, they wanted to build a custom forecasting model.
The Solution
Our team developed, trained, and tested several modern reservoir models for precise performance and decay forecasting using Python, R, and other modules. We built a custom web application with a complex UI to analyze the models' behavior as well as tweak and optimize its parameters.
The Result
- Our client is now equipped with a modern digital tool.
- This tool is fully integrated into the company's ERP system.
The Impact
